Wanted to use the HR setting of my watch and keep myself within the “tempo” range. Was all set, but then I found out, after spending some time getting very confused, that a factory reset on the watch had changed it from km to miles. That just made things confusing (was intending to do a 2km on/500m off thing) so in the end I decided I would just hammer it until I was struggling to breathe (normally got back around 180+bpm) and then walk till HR dropped back to 130ish, then repeat. Fricking killlaahhhhh. Managed to get my HR to 200 by sprinting along the pavement about 3/4 of the way in.
